WHO: Christopher Latona, Andrew Latona, Sebastian Rios (bass), and Stacy Dillard (saxophone) 

Latona Brothers is an NYC based Jazz Band co-led by brothers Andrew and Christopher Latona. The Brothers were raised in Silver Spring, Maryland, to a musical family. In 2012, while in high school, they began to play at popular music clubs in Washington DC, such as Columbia Station, and Twins Jazz Club with their group. Since graduating from high school, the Brothers have reunited in Brooklyn where they currently reside, and brought the “Latona Brothers” into New York City and have played in clubs all over the east coast swell as a short stint in Rome, Italy in 2018. While freelancing individually, Andrew and Christopher have differing careers, experiences and voices - however, when the Brothers come together, they always bring a party, and a large helping of “home” with them wherever they go.

Stacy Dillard teaches saxophone and ensembles at the VJC Summer Workshop. Stacy attended college at Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio. A fortunate encounter with Wynton Marsalis in Dayton, Ohio would turn Dillard’s attention to the New York scene. Since moving to New York he has recorded four albums as a leader and recorded on over forty as a sideman. He can be found on recordings with Cyrus Chestnut, Captain Black Big Band, Eric Revis, Winard Harper, Wycliffe Gordon and many others.
