No experience required! All levels of plant novices and experts are welcome.

In this workshop, instructor Hanna will guide you through the process and philosophies behind the grounding practice of kokedama making. Guests will receive care instructions for the new plant babies. Guests are invited to an hour of private shopping with Ophelia, one of the founders of Bobblehaus.

When: Wednesday, May 24th, 7-10pm

What: Originally from Japan, the kokedama is a style of bonsai that displays plants in suspended moss balls. Known for their air purifying qualities, kokedamas can be hung or displayed as a delicate centerpiece on your coffee table.

All-inclusive ticket comes with the required materials:

  • One foliage plant of your choice ( Selections vary- examples include pothos, ferns, and ficuses)
  • Kokedama Moss
  • Kokedama Soil + String

About the Instructor:

Hanna Chen is an avid plant collector, interior plantscaper, and painter. Born and raised in San Francisco, she is passionate about the intersection of design and culture through the lens of food, art, and greenery.
